ParentVUE and Portal FAQ's

How do I login to the ParentVUE app?

To login to the ParentVUE app, you must have a GCPS parent portal account.  You only need ONE account to monitor all of your students at once. 

If you have previously had a parent portal account but you are no longer able to login, please sign up for a support appointment so that we can assist you.  Please do NOT register for a new account.

If you have never had a parent portal account, please download the Parent Portal Registration Form and fill out the entire form. Bring your completed form to the school along with your PHOTO ID.  Each parent requesting parent portal access must appear in person with a completed application and photo ID.  **Photocopied IDs are not accepted.

 

Do I have to bring my parent portal application to the school in person?

Yes!  The information in the parent portal is protected by federal law so it is important that we verify picture ID with each parent portal application.

 

What do I need to bring with me to the school to apply for parent portal access?

Please bring your completed form along with your original Photo ID (photocopies will not be accepted).

 

I forgot my parent portal password - what do I do now?

Use the "forgot password" link on the Go2Portal landing page. Instructions for resetting your password will be delivered to your registered e-mail address by the go2gwinnett team.  If you are unable to reset your password, please sign up for a support appointment so that we may assist you.

 

How do I change my e-mail address for my parent portal access?

You will need to submit a new Parent Portal Application in person at the school to have your parent portal access e-mail address formally changed.  Please note on the form that you have an existing parent portal account and that you need your email address updated.

 

Can more than one person have access to a student's online information?

Yes. Parent portal access may be granted to multiple parents/guardians as long as they are listed as such in our student records. EACH person will need to submit the Parent Portal Application and provide photo ID in person to apply.  Please note that each parent portal account must be associated with a unique email address.  Therefore, each parent/guardian applying for parent portal access must have their own, individual email address.

 

What do I do if I experience any technical trouble with the parent portal?
