Requesting your transcript: 

  1. Request your transcript through My Payments Plus. You will only pay $5 for us to send transcripts to all colleges listed on your Common App (NOT $5 per college on your list).

  2. Ensure your SchooLinks account is fully connected to your Common App Account. SchooLinks has replaced Naviance as the program the county is utilizing for us to submit student records, documents, and recommendation letters. Please see the attached instructions if you need assistance linking your accounts.

  3. Notify your counselor that you have submitted a request for your transcript and need it uploaded to your colleges on SchooLinks. You may do this by emailing your counselor or sending them a message in SchooLinks. Neither Common App nor SchooLinks notifies the counselor that a student has submitted an application and needs documents sent, so we do not have a way of knowing that you need anything unless you let us know.

 

If your school requires a COUNSELOR recommendation letter: 

  1. Complete the Brag Sheet in SchooLinks. You may also provide your counselor a brag sheet if you have something separate completed. 

  2. Notify your counselor via email or SchooLinks that you are requesting a counselor recommendation letter. We can't write a letter if we don't know you need one!

  3. Requests made less than two school weeks before the due date may not be honored. 

 

General Notes: 

  1. Counselors have a different due date than the one listed for students. For example, your deadline may be January 1st, but our deadline is January 8th. DO NOT WAIT for counselors to complete their portion of the application before you submit yours. ALWAYS submit your portion of the application once you are done. We will meet our internal deadlines.

  2. Once documents are submitted, the colleges have to download them and manually input that your documents were received. This can sometimes take a couple of weeks. If your documents were submitted on time, they will be considered on time by the college, even if they haven't marked them as received.
